CropFest in Barrie 2013 FAQ's

Can you tell me more about CropFest?

CropFest is "Your Ultimate Creative Getaway!" This is an exclusive event for only 85 participants to come crop for the weekend and get away for some creative fun!! You will have the opportunity to crop for 32 hours straight, as well as take part in contests, games, make n' takes and more. We will have two on-site stores, Pointer Gifts and Crafts (Markham) and Scrapbook Moments & More (Newmarket), offering a wide selection of product. As well, Karen Ellis and Virginia Nebel will be offering additional educational classes. So come Crop, Shop, Learn and Create with us at CropFest!

What are the hours for CropFest?

CropFest will begin on Friday, May 3rd at 4:00pm and run continuously until Saturday, May 4th at Midnight. You may continue to crop from Saturday midnight until 7:00 am on Sunday, May 5th (a 7 hour bonus!), however there will be no CropFest representative onduty at this time.

What size tables are being used for CropFest?

CropFest will set up 8ft rectangular tables, with every participant being given 4ft of space. The Crop will be held in the Churchill Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Barrie Hotel & Conference Centre.

Can I leave my scrapbooking things in the cropping area overnight?

You are quite welcome to leave your materials/projects and your rolling totes at your seat overnight in the Cropping area. A ScrapFest representative will be in the cropping area throughout the night. However, we do recommend that you take any expensive/valuable items (eg Cricut) back to your room on Friday night as a precaution as ScrapFest Inc. is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Is there Internet available in the cropping area?

There is complimentary high speed Interent available throughout the hotel.

How do I purchase tickets for CropFest as well as any Educational Classes being offered?

On-line registration for CropFest in Barrie 2013 opens on Wednesday, January 23rd at 8pm ET.

A couple of weeks prior to the registration, a new tab will appear titled "Registration" under CropFest Barrie 2013. You will have the opportunity to review the CropFest descriptions and classes being offered. Once registration opens, these items can be purchased by putting the product into your shopping cart.

ScrapFest accepts the following forms of payment: PayPal and Credit Card. You may sign in as a Guest through PayPal and do not need to set up an account. We will not be accepting cheques as a form of payment for CropFest in Barrie.

Can I attend CropFest in Barrie just on Saturday?

Sorry, CropFest is a 2 day event. We will not be offering a separate ticket to attend CropFest just on Saturday.

Can I come and just take a class at CropFest?

The educational classes available at CropFest are being offered first to registered CropFest participants. On Wednesday, March 27th 2013 at 8pm any remaining class tickets will be available to the general public (you do not need to be registered). Please note that the prices will be slightly higher after this date for the general public as well as those who have registered for CropFest.

Will you be mailing the tickets?

Sorry, tickets will not be mailed prior to the event. All tickets will be available to be picked up at the CropFest Registration table when you arrive.

What if there are no spots available for CropFest or a class that I am interested in?

There is a "WAITING LIST" for you to add your name to once a product is filled. Please note: ScrapFest is not able to guarantee the availability of this product.

If there is a "SOLD OUT" button on a product, this indicates that the waiting list for this product is full and we are not able to accept any more names.

What forms of payment are accepted at CropFest in Barrie?

Pointer Gifts and Crafts will be accepting cash, debit, and credit cards. Scrapbook Moments & More will be accepting cash, MasterCard and VISA. There is an ATM machine located in the hotel.

Is the Holiday Inn Barrie wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the Holiday Inn Barrie is a wheelchair accessible facility.

How much does parking cost?

Parking is FREE!

Are Meals included with my CropFest Registration?

CropFest will be providing cupcakes on Friday, lunch on Saturday, as well as a morning and afternoon coffee break on Saturday. If you choose to stay at the Holiday Inn Barrie, breakfast is included in the cost of your room. However, you are responsible for all other meals.

What if I have pre-ordered tickets and can't make it to the event?

Before submitting your order please review your selections. All event tickets are non-refundable after your order has been confirmed. Changes may be made to your class schedule up to April 26th, 2013 if there are spots available. Please see the Purchase Policy in the Shopping Cart for further details.

Does the Holiday Inn Barrie have rooms available for participants attending CropFest?

The Holiday Inn Barrie is offering a special rate of $112.99/night + tax based on single occupancy or $122.99/night + tax for double occupancy for participants attending CropFest in Barrie. This rate includes a complete hot breakfast buffet!

What does a Basic Tool Kit consist of?

A Basic Tool Kit consists of a 12"x 12" personal trimmer, favourite pair of straight-edge, micro-tip scissors, favourite adhesives- both wet and dry, black and brown ink, black archival journaling pen, paper piercer and mat, regular hole punch, ruler, pencil, eraser, corner rounder (optional), stapler (optional)
